Gold flash tattoos

I first saw gold flash tattoos on Pinterest and was quite curious to find out more about them because I wasn’t sure if they had been painted on some of the people in the pictures. I then saw some of the contestants on the reality show Bachelor in Paradise wearing them and loved how they look on tanned skin! Flash tattoos are gorgeous temporary tattoos that look great when teamed up with accessories – I would love to pair them with turquoise jewellery. In SA they retail for about R200 plus, which I think is a bit steep, but if they last for a full week without rubbing off then that’s not too bad. I saw them on display at a shop in Parkhust about 2 weeks ago and am sure you can find them online too.

If you don’t know what flash tattoos are, here are some pics I found on Pinterest:

Trends I love – Plaid

Pinterest

When I saw plaid shirts in stores I immediately thought of Clark Kent in Smallville who loved wearing those – especially in red. I also had a flashback of a blue plaid dress my mom made me when I was much  younger – back when plaid and jellies were all the rage.

If you walk into any store now you will see plaid tops, jackets and skirts everywhere in red, blue and green.

I got two plaid shirts from Mr Price the other day – one in red and one in black (yay for online shopping!) I usually wear them with a white tank top and some black/blue skinnies and sneakers. I’m loving the rocker chic look you can create with these tops – just pair them with leather or denim. I am also looking forward to wearing these brown boots I got at Woolworths today which I know will go perfectly with  plaid.

Oxblood obsession

It has come to my attention recently that there are quite a number of people out there who have not yet been introduced to the wonder that is oxblood – I know right? Oxblood (my current obsession) is a deep red wine colour that is also called bordeaux. I have been a huge fan of this colour ever since the first day that I saw it and am extremely excited for 2014 when we will see more it in clothing stores. I have a great nail polish in oxblood already but am still on the hunt for the perfect oxblood lipstick for a sultry pout.

Be daring and explore your darker side with oxblood!
