When I attended the Woolies Style By Night Event last month, a model on the runway was wearing a jacket that caught my eye immediately. It was love at first sight! After the event I couldn’t stop thinking about this … Continue reading
Denim, leather, faux fur, plaid, lace – I can’t wait for winter! Not something you would hear very often from me as I generally I find winter fashion really boring. (I always feel larger than life in all the layers … Continue reading
While it’s still warm I’m really enjoying my new spotty skater skirt (R199) from Woolies. When I first saw it I immediately decided it would be too short for me and didn’t take it. A friend told me not to be so quick to dismiss it and get it. I left the shop that day and went back another day to try it on. I am not a fan of my legs so if a skirt or shorts look short I don’t usually buy them. This, however, was not as short as I had thought before trying it on. It actually looks great and is 100% viscose so it’s nice and cool in summer!
Another item I had had my eye on was this beautiful top with it’s beautiful detail (R350). I am mad about this style and love wearing tops like this with a pair of jeans and heels. It’s polyester and cotton so also nice and light for hot summer days.
Needless to say I went home with both items that day. Thank you Woolies!
Usually I get dressed up on Christmas day and wear a dress or skirt to family lunches. Today I felt quite laid-back and decided to rather just dress casually for lunch. The weather is overcast and drizzling and all I want to do is curl up under a blanket and watch TV all day.
Today’s casual OOTD was:
baseball top (PnP clothing)
boyfriend jeans (Woolworths)
glitter slop/sandals (Woolworths)
assorted silver jewellery (inherited, Gems & Jewels and YDE)
For my make-up I chose to do neutral eyes, bronzed cheeks and a bright coral lip. As for my hair I tied it up in a ponytail.
The last week has been super busy and retail therapy really does put me in a better mood. This last week I found some great things in the shops.
Lovisa is having a sale! Yippee! This is great news because the store in Cresta really had low levels of stock for quite a while and I thought they were closing down. I got a pleasant surprise when I walked past this evening and saw their shelves filled with accessories and sale signs. The ladies at the counter told me that they have loads of new stock coming and the sales will continue for a while so I should carry on popping in.
Bargains for tonight:
Believe bangle R30 (previously R85)
Hanging earrings R30 (previously R150)
Studs R50 (previously R100)
Bangles R50 (previously R175)
Stack rings R160 (unfortunately they weren’t on sale but I still had to have them)
Mr Price had 2 great monochrome items I wanted – scarf with crosses on it and a bangle. I am obsessed with bird accessories and fell in love with this swallow pendant necklace.
I saw these neon sandals on Instagram late last week and went on a mission to find them. I was lucky enough to find them and these gold and black ones at Woolies in Brooklyn Pretoria. The straps are made from elastic so they are nice and comfy for summer. I also saw them in red and gold.
Yay for shopping!
Spring is here and I can finally swop my boots, jeans and jerseys for maxi skirts, tank tops and sandals. Saturday was lovely and warm in Jozi and I look forward to many more days of skirts, shorts and tees. … Continue reading
